The Ecosafe range of bunded oil tanks from Titan are designed for use on commercial, agricultural and industrial properties however they have also become a popular choice for domestic heating oil storage. The Ecosafe bunded oil tank range is available in a wide range of sizes, from 1000Ltr/200Gal to 9000Ltr/1980Gal, and manufactured from polyethylene making them light weight yet strong.
Titan Ecosafe tanks are suitable for domestic and business properties that are sited within 10 metres of a water source as legally the tank is required to be bunded to protect the environment. A bunded tank is simply a two walled tank or a tank within a tank and is designed to reduce the risk of oil leaking. This design works in the same way as a ships double hull, if the outer wall is punctured the risk of a leak is minimal as it’s the inner tank that contains the heating oil.
Security has also become an increasingly important concern for heating oil users due to the increase in oil prices affected by current global economical issues. This increase in oil prices affecting heating oil and fuel prices has resulted in an increase in thefts of heating oil from domestic, commercial and agricultural properties in rural areas across the UK. With this in mind all Titan Ecosafe tanks come with a lockable lid to help prevent oil theft and provide peace of mind to oil users. Also all Titan Ecosafe tanks come fitted with a Titan Watchman Alarm an electronic device that monitors the oil levels within the tank and when the levels get low sends a signal wirelessly to a receive in the home or business that alerts the user that the tank requires refilling.
The Ecosafe are also fitted with the SpillStop overfill protective system to prevent the tank from being over filled as well as an optional top outlet, upon request. All of these features provide oil users with innovative, flexible and safe oil storage solutions for a range of applications.
